A nurse is planning interventions to support a pediatric client in their current psychosocial development level. The nurse will apply which understanding to the care plan of the client while implementing interventions? The psychosocial stages of development focus on intrapsychic experiences within the client. Each psychosocial stage of development is separate and does not affect the ability to complete the next stage. If the client cannot successfully overcome a stage, the client moves to the next stage without the development complete. The client will have a sense of competence after successfully completing the stage of trust versus mistrust.
