Patient presented to ED with severe headache, palpitations, and found to have uncontrolled hypertension. Has a past history of hypertension and diabetes mellitus. Blood pressure in ED: 215/100, pulse 76 and regular Heart, regular rate and rhythm Chest, clear to auscultation Abdomen, soft, nontender Extremities, normal, no cyanosis or edema EKG was normal. Patient is being admitted for better control of blood pressure. Will also get a neurological consult for her headaches while she is inpatient.
