PHYSICAL EXAMINATION B: VITAL SIGNS: At the time of presentation, the patient’s vital signs were stable. The patient’s temperature was 98.7, pulse 92, blood pressure 149/88 and respirations 18. GENERAL: Upon physical examination, the patient was alert, awake and oriented x3 with no apparent distress. CARDIOVASCULAR: Regular. LUNGS: Clear to auscultation bilaterally. ABDOMEN: Nontender and nondistended. Positive bowel sounds in all four quadrants. NEUROLOGIC: The patient was with full mentation and speech. Cranial nerves II through XII were grossly intact. Motor function on the left lower extremity psoas was 3/5, dorsiflexion of 3/5 and plantar flexion of 3/5. The patient also complained of some sensory deficit in the back of the left foot.
