JR is a 70 yr old male with HTN, hyperlipidemia, CAD, is being discharged from the hospital today. His medications are as follows: Aspirin 81 mg po daily, Amlodipine 10 mg po daily, Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg po daily, and Atorvastatin 80 mg po daily.Â

Please discuss each drug information from the viewpoint of the pathophysiology, the pharmacokinetics (how the drugs move throughout the body and how they are absorbed, distributed, metabolized and excreted) and pharmacodynamics (how the drugs produce change in the patient and the patient’s response to the medication.)Â
