As I have just discussed with Dr. Obbad, I wanted to share the most recent update in this patient’s case: I spoke with Adina Mintz, Physician Assistant, with My Care Urgent Care this evening who was the provider who oversaw treatment of this patient on 01/24. PA, Mintz stated that she definitely did not see anything suspicious upon her physical exam of the patient, nor is there nothing notated in the patient’s record of suspicion. PA Mintz confirmed that patient was prescribed Xofluza for treatment of influenza. It was recommended by PA Mintz that Dr. Obbad reach out to the treating provider this evening at Dr. Shanik’s office and discuss our concerns prior to the patient’s visit this evening at 8:45 pm.
