My practicum project is virtual admission nurse.   Meaning the virtual nurse complete the history, med reconciliation, basic education etc and the inpatient nurse will complete the physical assessment.  Historically the med-surg units have received their patients fully admitted with all admission aspects complete.  The ICU nurses have not.   Using this new virtual admission nurse process the ICU nurse also benefits from the process as their admission will also have admission history, med reconciliation complete.   As with anything change is hard.  The med-surg nurses are upset at the new process because they are now responsible for part of the admission process.   How do I/we plan or tweak the process to improve the process.
