Rewrite in a professional email: Good morning, I wanted to update the group with a new update. Dr. Obbad has informed me that she spoke with Dr. Yakobov, with the patient’s pediatric office. Dr. Yakobov confirmed that he evaluated the patient last evening in the Madison office location. A diagnosis of: Petechiae of the Palate. According to Dr. Yakobov did not recommend additional medical testing or evaluation to determine the cause of the contusion. Dr. Yakobov informed the patient’s father that he should “follow up as needed.” Not only is this disheartening information, but it further concerns me. It portrays lack of concern for this patient, not only from a possible abuse situation, but medically as well. It is my conclusion that with all of this information received, that a referral to Child Protective Services is warranted to ensure that at minimum, the patient’s medical needs are being met.
