There are 2 types of medical records audit review which is quantitative and qualitative reviews. Both of them can be used for either internal and external audit. Listed below is two scenarios of medical record audit review and the rationale for each scenario pertaining to the health information tech. After reviewing scenario 1, The health information tech had to determine the delinquency rate of the operative notes that has not been noted ont he medicare record with 24 hours which is a example of Quantitative reviews. Quantitative revews is to review the medical record to maske sure that the record is complete and accurate. After reviewing scenario 2, The health information tech had to determine how many records in which contains conflicting documentation betweek the 2 reports such as pathology report and discharge summary. This is an example of Qualitative review which finds the inconsistencies and omissions from a record. Respond to rationale
