CC: Indigestion and Abdominal pain HPI: A 15 yo female presents with indigestion and abdominal pain for about 6 months. Pain is located on RUQ of abdomen. Pt describes pain as a cramp-like ache that can progress into a stabbing and burning pain that is accompanied by nausea. Eating makes the pain worse. She reports trying to change her diet tin the past to lessen the pain, but eating in general causes vomiting in most cases, though not all the time. Pain on coming in is 3-2 out of 10, however she recalls the stabbing burning pain is 8-9 out of 10. Pain is worse at night and can wake her up, but does not necessarily keep her up. She has tried taking Alka-Seltzer but it did not help. She finds herself throwing up at least once every other day. If she eats small amounts of food she won’t throw up right away, but a couple hours later it may come back up. She feels slightly better after throwing up; the nausea goes away. However, the burning remains in RUQ. She can sometimes feel pain in her back on the right side. She reports her stool is smaller in size
