Clinical Scenario You are a visiting nurse assigned to check on a widower who lives by himself in a two-story house. The patient is a 76-year-old man who has been an uncontrolled diabetic for the past 15 years. His wife used to provide nutritious meals and help him test his blood sugar levels, as well as observe his skin for any skin alterations. Since she passed away of Alzheimer’s Disease one year ago, he has been isolated at home and is having trouble taking care of himself.
