In essay format, explain the process for the sleep study from the time the patient arrives until they leave the lab. Be sure to include the follow up process. Explain the PSG study, treatment (if they qualify) and aftercare just as you would want it explained to you or a loved one. Include anything that you feel would help explain the process. You must include all of the following: • A brief description of each part of the study—paperwork to be completed, questionnaire, set up, sleep study, possible interventions as well as follow-up. • The patient has no idea what to expect, how are you going to ease those fears? • If your sleep study includes the potential of CPAP therapy, what is it?
