A.W. is a 37-year-old gravida 3 para 2 at 36 weeks pregnant, who presents to the OB triage unit and reports having severe abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding. A.W. reports that the pain started 1 hour ago and is getting progressively worse. The bleeding started shortly after the abdominal pain began. A.W. has a history of 2 previous cesarean sections and chronic hypertension. The patient reports that her first cesarean section was for fetal distress. The second was a repeat cesarean section. A.W. is expecting to have a baby boy. Her 2 other children are girls, and they are 4 and 7 years old. A.W. is planning on breast feeding this baby and wants him to be circumcised.
