Abnormal physical findings of the client include incontinence, a new onset of confusion, and the darkness of the client’s urine, as well as the cloudy appearance of the urine. In regard to laboratory findings, I found that the client’s blood work was not extremely abnormal. Still, you can see within the blood work results, the client is beginning to have some abnormalities that have the potential to get worse if left untreated. The client’s BUN is at 25mg/dL. A normal BUN typically runs between 6-24mg/dL (Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN) test, 2021). Even though the client is only 1mg/dL over the normal limit, I still have some slight concerns that the client may be starting to have an increase in her BUN levels that will only get worse. BUN levels can indicate that your kidneys are not functioning effectively but can also be a sign of dehydration (Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN) test, 2021). The client’s white blood cell count is also on the higher end of the normal range. A normal range White Blood Cell Count can range anywhere from 4,000 – to 11,000 (White Blood Cells: What Are They, Normal Ranges, Role & Function, 2021). As said previously, yes the
