Can you reply to this classmate? An ideal healthcare scenario is when all pieces work together for the best outcome of the patient, with each piece of the system building on the previous. When the patient presents to a hospital, clinic, or ER they are initially met by clerical and registration staff that sets the tone for the patient’s visit. They then encounter the first levels of the medical team, whether it is a medical assistant or a nurse, that begins the process of gathering medical history and the reason for the visit which starts the process of differential diagnosis and the treatment plans. Then they encounter the provider, whether that is a nurse practitioner, physician’s assistant, or a doctor who will utilize all of the information to finalize the diagnosis and complete the visit. Each layer of the team are dependent on the previous layer to perform their job to the best of their ability, and the trust that comes from that builds a strong and reliable system that improves the outcome of patient care. The morale that is built in a facility when there is cohesion and mutual respect and trust only improves outcomes for patients and creates
