Your chosen topic will be used to develop your course components throughout Nursing 764. You must chose from this list, do not request an alternate topic. The purpose of the assignment is to develop a course/course components on a major clinical topic. For the best learning experience, do not chose a topic you have taught previously. Choose a topic from the following list (only chose one): Body system : neurological, pulmonary, cardiovascular, endocrine, GI & liver, integumentary Major Disease: diabetes, COPD/chronic lung conditions, CHF/chronic heart conditions, autoimmune disorders Special population: gerontology, pediatric, women’s health 2. Identify and discuss a teaching/learning theory you will use to develop the full teaching plan and strategies. How will you incorporate the theory into course activities? This is an overall theory, but you will also be utilizing other theories/models as needed. This discussion should be 1-2 pages. 3.
