6. Drug Make-Me-Happy has an FG = 0.45, FH = .9, and FA = 0.94. Make-Me-Happy is also a substrate for CYP3A4 in the gut. Jack has been on Make-Me-Happy for years now. He takes 40mg daily, same time each day (perfect patient!). However, Jack wants to improve his health so he has been eating healthier. One of the things he has been doing to be healthier is to drink grapefruit juice (GFJ) instead of pop. But, as we know GFJ inhibits CYP3A4 in the gut. What will happen to Jack’s F, Css Ave, and Peak to Trough Ratio? Will you need to make any dosage regimen changes? Why or why not. If so, what will you change?
