Fetal Monitoring Case StudElectronic Fetal Heart Monitoring Case StudiesCase Study #AA client, age 38 years old, G3P2 at 38.5 weeks gestation, arrived at the labor and delivery triage at 0400 with frequent contractions. Prenatal care began at 8 weeks and pregnancy has been uneventful. Client had 2 previous vaginal deliveries. Now reports leaking fluid, which began around 5pm last night. Upon admission, it was confirmed that her membranes were ruptured with meconium-stained amniotic fluid noted. Client is on continuous fetal heart rate monitoring. At 1300, an intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC) monitoring device was inserted. Current vital signs: T99.6F, P89, R18, & BP138/72. Vaginal exam 4 cm/60%/-2. Requests IV pain medication for pain 7/10 on the pain scaley
