Case Study (Peri-Operative Nursing) – Mr. George Jones is a 77-year-old male who is brought into the emergency department after a fall at home on 3/23/2023. – Mr. Jones called 911 and was found at home alone. – Mr. Jones was brought to the hospital by EMS. – After being seen by the ER physician and sent for an X-Ray, it is determined that he has fractured his right hip and will need hip replacement surgery. – Mr. Jones states he may have been at risk for a fracture because he has severe osteoporosis – A Urinalysis was also done on Mr. Jones, and it was found that he was suffering from a UTI as well and will be started on a broad-spectrum IV antibiotic. – Mr. Jones is anxious about his procedure and does not know how he will be able to go home since he lives alone. – He is confused (A
