45 years old male presented to ED with right ankle pain/ deformity after ground level fall at home. Patient reports about an hour prior to arrival, he slipped on a wet tile in his foyer at his home. He reported immediate right ankle pain and was not able to weight bear on his right lower extremity. He denies any head injury, loss of consciousness or anticoagulation therapy. Patient was evaluated upon arrival in the emergency department. X ray of the right ankle and right foot revealed a right ankle fracture, dislocation of the lateral and medial malleolus. Ortho was consulted for evaluation and management with closed reduction under procedural sedation of his right ankle patient navigated in room and out Patient tolerated physical evaluation well. hallwall with B axillary crutches at SBA/CGA with cues for slower velocity. Patient was able to hop 2-8 inches steps with unilateral handrail and crutches at CGA level.
