You are seeing Mary a 52 year old female who presents complaining of headache, shortness of breath, heart palpitations and chest pain. She says she has a long history of hypertension and high cholesterol along with generalized anxiety disorder. She admits increased work and home life stressors related to the Covid 19 crisis as her husband lost his job and she has been the only one working. Additionally she’s had trouble keeping up with her kids homeschooling and her Mom is in a rehab hospital following a recent stroke. Mary says she’s been taking her lisinopril, simvastatin, sertraline and buspirone daily as directed and has not missed any doses. Mary says she’s had panic attacks in the past but this feels different.
Give us 10 subjective questions you could ask Mary that would give you a better idea of what is possibly going on because right now you are unsure if this is a cardiac issue or psych issue. You must give us the clinical reasoning behind your questions with rationales. Your rationales must be peer reviewed evidence-based
