T.M. has been diagnosed with Type I diabetes and has maintained good control of his blood glucose. He usually wears contact lenses for nearsightedness but has prescription glasses at the bedside. He has a seizure disorder, which was diagnosed at 3 years of age. He takes medication for the seizure disorder and has been stable for the past 15 years. Upon arrival to the unit, T.M. rates his pain at an 8/10. He is very anxious and keeps trying to get out of bed. A.
