Challenges in nursing education research were evident throughout the literature review used to formulate recommendations for this Guideline: the majority of studies were single-site, with small sample sizes and minimal replication. Funding for nursing education research is not an isolated problem, and it is a challenge faced globally by the discipline (NLN, 2007).
