A 73 y/o patient presents to the clinic w/ her daughter. Chief complaint is a 4 hour episode of “confusion” that occurred yesterday. The daughter states her mother was sitting in the chair and seemed unable to stand up or walk like normal and that when she spoke, it seemed she could not “find the right words.” It seemed to resolve after about 4 hours, and then she seemed normal again. PMH: Recent URI, HTN, Type 2 DM, early onset Alzheimer’s disease. Based on this presentation, the NP is highly concerned for: Delirium Lacunar infarct Meningioma Transient ischemic attack
