The patient was on a liquid diet and came in due to vomiting, nausea, and pain; the patient was diagnosed with suspected lung cancer with bony metastasis; the patient hasn’t had a bowel movement for 5 days since the first enema was administered in the ER. I gave patient a fleet enema as per orders from doctor, lub was added to the dispenser bottle and inserted into the patient rectum, i could of used more pressure when inserting the fluid, the patient experienced no pain, in the end it did not help the patient with having a bowel movement maybe due to liquid diet?
