A healthcare issue that is currently impacting nursing is the heightened stress in the workplace environment. The stress is related to several things including management, coworkers, self-care, burnout, and short staffing. Between the constant standing and walking, lifting and repositioning patients, and bending over, nurses’ bodies are going through a lot during those long 12-hour shifts.
