The trickster of this story turned out to be the king of sharks. The role of the trickster was to make the girl he saw on the shore fall in love with him. The real protagonist turned out to be the king of sharks son because he was eating all the fish. The powerful characters can win a persons mind over even if they are in the wrong because they use their wrong doing to create a story line that will draw the reader in. 

      I would side with the king of sharks because I understand the instinct to protect and provide for your children at any cost. Sometimes, we have to do what is necessary at the time to provide a better life for our children.
