Some of the treatments include moisturizer, topical steroids, oral meds, and more. Personally I think that using topical steroids for treatment is not a good idea due to topical steroid withdrawal. This can cause even worse skin issues such as flaking, itching, swelling, small cuts, and can lead to infection. In my opinion the risks for topical steroids outweigh the benefits especially since there are other treatments out there. I think a topical steroid should be one of the last treatments recommended even though it is one of the easier ones to use.”
