Florence Nightingale is the definition of what most nurse live by. She was known for making the hospital space cleaner and a safe place to work. Her history is not as pleasant to read. What I enjoyed reading was how she waited for the doctors to need the nurses at Barrack Hospital. According to DeBakcsy (2020) Sooner or later, she felt, the doctors would have to come to her, and the hospital’s functioning would be helped by the spirit of cooperation, instead of hindered by one of resentment. It was not long before they of course sought her out for assistance. She was able to push through make a cleaner environment, provide needed services and supplies. Even with al that resistance she did many missions and brought about the school for nurses. According to DeBakcsy, (2020), In 1860 she established the Nightingale Training School still in operation at St. Thomas’s Hospital as an experiment in producing nurses of the caliber she had so desperately needed. paraphrase
