reply to this discussion I realized that, while completing case studies quizzes, I needed to improve my comprehension and detail-oriented skills after attending the Advanced Medical Coding Techniques course. As I read the coding book, I think I understand all of the guidelines and how to provide the correct code, but I become confused when I encounter a case study. Finding the seven codes for a case study in Module 3 was difficult for me. My colleague, a medical coding technician, was the first person I went to for assistance since I could quickly get in touch with her and she could tell me where to start looking in scenarios similar to case study quizzes. It enables me to put what I’ve learned into practice and identify my areas of weakness. The questions from Emily’s interview really helped me realize how we might use what we learned in the real world and the importance of networking. I’m continuing to work hard and want to do well and learn more when this semester is over.
