HOW CAN YOU RSPOND TO THIS ISSUES TO A CLASS DISCUSSION BOARD.I believe an issue in healthcare as a societal issue is the unsafe work conditions. Being a nurse is a hard job itself but feeling like every time I come to work, and my license is on the line is another issue. The ANA states, “Nurses and nursing students face unique hazards in the workplace and multiple health, safety, and wellness risks in their personal lives” (NursingWorld,2017). I believe that nurses are unwilling and desire to be treated better to ensure we are at our full capability to provide safe, quality patient centered care. Many of times my current job says they appreciate us being nurses but yet we are not seeing any action when things are brought to their attention about the workplace safety environment. I remember a time when I injured my back and had to go to physical therapy because I had to lift on a patient although I used proper body mechanics, we didn’t have adequate staffing or the proper lifting equipment.
