revise this paragraph: On the subject of autonomy, different people may have different interpretations of what autonomy means in the context of nursing. Some may argue that it refers to the nurse’s ability to make independent decisions, while others may believe it refers to the nurse’s responsibility to respect the autonomy of patients. I am also not sure if this is the case everywhere, but the hospital that I currently work for has a whole clinical team for each patient. Generally, there will always be a nurse, as well as an attending physician, a fellow, and a resident. Regardless of how many people taking care of the patient, because in some health care settings there may only be a nurse, it is important that the entire team relays the information pertaining to all possible consequences that the patient may encounter with all options of treatment plans moving forward. That would allow the patient to ask questions and also allow for an open conversation between the patient and the care team for a better understanding.
