The first ANA Code of Ethics that I will incorporate into my teaching project is collaboration. My teaching project is based on incorporating social workers into the care of emergency department patients. There is many different situations where the nurse needs to collaborate with the social worker. The patient also needs to collaborate with the nurse and the social worker too. Collaboration is a huge thing when it comes to making care plans for patients to follow. The second ANA Code of Ethics that I will incorporate into my teaching project is “Promotion of Personal Health, Safety, and Well-Being.” My teaching project is about having social workers help patients that come into the emergency department. Social workers are wanting to help patients’ lives be better and easier. They are there to help them apply for different things.
