A) Case study: Patient: Annie Jamal
You will be caring for Annie Jamal, 29 yr old female on a medical unit. She is admitted for uncontrolled diabetes (type 1) and a non-healing left foot wound. On admission, the doctor has ordered the following:

b) Vitals q shift
c) Blood work: CBC and differential, swab left foot wound for c & s, random glucose, BUN, creatinine
d) Tylenol #3, 1-2 tabs q 6hrs for pain
e) Change left foot dressing daily
f) Insulin as per BBIT, chem strips QID
g)  Ancef 1 gram IV TID
