Given an issue on the unit, a nurse manager can observe the issue in order to determine the problem and gather the details required in order for them to determine or diagnose the root of the problem. Given the diagnosis, the manager can then create plans that will effectively address the issue with the employee. The nurse manager can then implement the plan, and evaluate the outcome of the action. If the outcome is not satisfactory, the observations gained during the implementation portion can be used to create a new diagnosis and plan.
