Patient is admitted to the hospital for pain management. Patient suffers from severe chronic pain syndrome of the low (lumbar) back. A spinal neurostimulator is inserted in the spinal canal that includes generator (monitoring device) and lead, open procedure. (Diagnoses: Two codes. When a patient is coming in for management of pain, what code must go first? Where is the location of the pain? Procedure: Two codes, one for the generator and one for the lead.
