In reviewing the risk factors presented within the study, the exposure is a sufficient and necessary cause for AF. This can be determined based on the research presented. Persons in the study have one or more risk factors and AF. With the risk factors and AF present, this places these individuals at a considerable risk for having a stroke. The research supports the use of OACs in prevent strokes when clinically indicated.
