Reducing sodium is an easily accessible strategy to all people and is inexpensive. Reducing sodium in one’s diet effectively lowers blood pressure, lowering the risk of CVD. The evidence of this technique’s effectiveness is strong (DHDSPBPC, 2024). The impact of this practice is that it has a positive effect on maintaining good blood pressure. This is impactful because high blood pressure can lead to CVD. “Sodium reduction strategies have been successfully implemented in various settings including congregate meal sites, universities, hospitals, food banks, supermarkets, small food retailers, correctional facilities, restaurants, community health centers, Federally Qualified Health Centers, and primary care clinics.”(Curtis et al., 2016). However, when implementing this strategy in my community, we would need an advocacy team to teach people how crucial cardiovascular health is and how easy it can be to start preventing CVD. Another consideration will be the number of fast food restaurants and people consuming fast food in my community. I would have to try to advise them to begin eating out in moderation or choosing more health-conscious menu options. Overall, the most critical implementation strategy would be to inform
