: Megan has been working part-time and is waiting for a full-time day shift LVN position to open at the long-term care facility where she works. She is very excited because she just got a temporary part-time job with a home health care agency that primarily does intravenous (IV) therapy. The agency is going to train her to manage IV therapy and will continue to be flexible with her long-term care facility schedule after she has a full-time position. You are an LVN, and you know that IV therapy is not within the LVN’s scope of practice for your state. You share your concerns with Megan, and she asks what she should do and where she can get more information about practicing outside the scope of the LVN license.
