Marfan’s syndrome is characterized by arachnodactyly, which is linked to mitral/aortic valve prolapse and aortic dissection. Also, finger clubbing is the loss of the usual angle between the nail and the nail bed due to homogeneous soft tissue enlargement of the terminal phalanx of a finger. Congenital cyanotic heart disease, infective endocarditis, and atrial myxoma are the most common underlying disease processes linked with finger clubbing in a cardiovascular. And to evaluate the temperature of the patient hands helps with indications of appropriate perfusion. The presence of cool hands may indicate a lack of peripheral perfusion such as cardiac failure or acute coronary syndrome. Acute coronary syndrome is often linked with cool, damp, or clammy hands. In conclusion, there is extensive information to assist the practitioner in performing the appropriate assessment to rule out any cardiac disease.
