I feel that I can relate to being in the same health care industry. You demonstrated a very constructive correlation between nursing practice and their counterpart or their association to Professional Standard in your self-assessment summary.
In the first scenario, you communicated well with the Dr., and you acknowledged the doctor’s feelings and practiced good communication skills like active listening.
Effective communication skills are vital to collaborating on teams with colleagues and other disciplines. Usually, nurses who take time to listen and understand the concern of each of their patients, colleagues, and other disciplinary team is better prepared to address issues as they arise, resulting in better outcomes. I recommend reviewing effective communications skills in some literature that you can find in different books. Refer also to our learning hub course online regarding effective communication skills.

In your second concern, I believe that multidisciplinary team to patient care is essential. We all know that the primary focus is the patient, but we understand that the multidisciplinary approach is as vital as the patient. We should always collaborate and corroborate with the team. Proper communication is the key in dealing with the multidisciplinary team, and teamwork ensures quality health outcomes.
We know that healthcare is designed as a multidisciplinary profession in which doctors, nurses and health professionals, and other specializations need to work together as a team, communicate, and share understanding and resources. A successful team strives to have the most comprehensive assessment of a patient situation and to follow up with a complete range plan of treatment.
Some researchers found that when healthcare professionals work together. The number of medical errors is reduced, and the level of patient safety rises.
