Cardiovascular conditions are the leading cause of death in Puerto Rico, followed by cancer and endocrine disorders such as Diabetes Mellitus respectively. According to the American Heart Association (AHA) and the American College of Cardiology (ACC) have decided to update and modify the blood pressure parameters from which a person should be considered to have high blood pressure, better known as Hypertension or HBP.
