A 35-year-old male patient presents to your office with a negative medical history. He smokes about 10 cigarettes per day. He takes no medications and has no known allergies. Upon completing your assessments, you note that he has generalized CAL readings with 1-2mm of attachment loss. He also has generalized moderate subgingival calculus, supra calculus, & plaque. He has generalized BOP. Upon interview, the patient states that he brushes once daily with a medium-bristled brush, flosses occasionally, and does not use any other adjunct aids.
