Provide a brief synopsis of the situation. An experience that I have witnessed incivility is when my charge nurse for pre-op and pacu, met with the director of nursing and OR charge nurse to go over the tension that has been brewing between the OR, and Pre-op/ Pacu teams. My charge nurse brought up some examples that would help ease the tension, and both DON and OR nurse literally rolled their eyes and said her ideas were ridiculous and not logical. Yes, my charge nurse is new to her role but that should not be an excuse of the treatment she received. They did not even give her a reason on why her ideas were not logical.
