Objectively: patient is unconscious, skin and mucous membranes are dry’, soft eyeballs. Epileptiform convulsions. RR – 26/min, heart rate – 108/inin. Abdomen is soft, diarrhea. Blood glucose – 49 mmol/1, pH – 7.38, the osmolarity of blood – 338 mOsm/1. Rehydration therapy includes: A Fluid restriction to 2 – 2.5 liters per day. B NaCl – 0.9% solution from 0.2 – 0.3 liters each hour. C 5% glucose solution at 1 – 1.5 liters every hour. D NaCl – 0.45% solution from 1 to 1.5 liters each hour. E Ringer’s solution, 0.2 liter each hour.
