23 yof presenting with a 3 day history of mild dysuria. She does not endorse frequency, urgency, or hematuria. No fever of back pain noted. Patient indicates that she has had 2 male partners in the last 3 months, both unprotected. The patient indicates she has never had a history of UTI or STI. Per clinic protocol, you collect a urine for both chlamydia and a UA. The UA shows mild WBCs and no bacteria. You treat the patient empirically for a UTI with TMP-SMZ for 3 days. The following day her chlamydia results are positive. What is your recommended first line treatment? If the patient was found to be pregnant, would this change your therapy?
