admission diagnosis: torn medial collateral ligament on the left, rule out torn medial discharge diagnosis: partial tear of the medial collateral ligament on the left operation: diagnostic arthroscopy of the left knee, application of cylinder cast patient injured left knee while at work when a tree snapped back and struck him from the lateral apsect of the knee. Immediate pain in medial knee area. Seen in ER, treated with a Jones muff and non weight bearing on crutches and seen in office on 3/12 for follow up. Subsequent arthrogram done on 3/15 reveald some air medially indicative of a possible tear in the medial collateral ligament.
