Scenario 1 Mr. Joseph Goldie (DOB: 26/02/1985) is a patient under the care of Dr. Godfrey. He was admitted 3/7 ago with urinary retention. On admission an indwelling urinary catheter was inserted and initially drained 500mls. Following analysis of a mid-stream urine specimen taken on admission, he has been diagnosed of having a UTI isolating Ps. aeruginosa sensitive to a penicillin-based antibiotic. The doctor has charted IVAB therapy which is currently due now. Mr Goldie is allergic to bee stings. History of recurrent renal calculi and insertion of JJ Stent months ago. Observations Temp. 38.7 PR: regular 96beats / min RR: 16 breaths/min BP: 130/74mmHg SpO2: 94% on room air BGL 6.8 GCS 15 UO Last output 150mls Pain score 3 out of 10
