icd-10-cm and cpt codes The patient was admitted through Same Day Surgery Unit on 4-14-93, taken to the Operating Room where a D&E for early second trimester fetal demise was accomplished and appeared as if there was no fetus that I could find. So, I think probably incomplete abortion because probably a lot of this occurred over night and she failed to tell me this morning. At any rate, she has done fine. Postoperatively she is doing well with no problems or complaints. She is in the Recovery Room doing well. Providing no problems occur over the next couple of hours I will let her go home with appropriate postoperative and post hospital instructions. Instructions to see me in about 2 weeks for follow up examination and Dr. Swagler as needed
