Just culture allows for nurses to report human error without fear of retaliation but instead education and a full system review to prevent the error again. It allows for people to have full honest disclosure without fear.(Boysen, 2013) Just Culture allows for nurses and other healthcare workers to work and function as a human without the pressure to be perfect 100% of the time because honestly that is impossible. As healthcare workers we should strive to be error free especially because we are working with the health and lives of others, but ultimately we are still human and ‘Just Culture” allows us to be human.
