SOLVED1330
Please respond to this peer discussion post and ask a When I listened to the first few minutes of Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” it started out with showing a lot of respect as Slava was introduced by the strings, flute, and clarinet. Starting with a prayer and then the orchestra built up adding cymbals, snare drum, bass drum, and tambourine. Fast forward to the 13-minute mark, Tchaikovsky adds in cannons and bells that reflects the intensity of the war. These additional instruments expressed the win in the war. When I listened to the gospel Jazz instrumental – We Fall Down all of the different instruments gave me an uplifting feeling. The saxophone adds some richness to the music acting as the voice of the song. I do think that the piano set the actual tone of the song, but the saxophone was the icing on the cake. Overall, all of the different instruments in both videos show how powerful music can be. Music can set the tone for different types of emotions and both of these pieces did exactly just that.
